People with Parkinson’s disease do not have enough Dopamine because some of the nerve cells which produce it have died.

Is Parkinson’s Hereditary?
Until today, there is no solid proof that Parkinson’s disease is inherited. The majority of people have what is called ‘idiopathic Parkinson’s’, meaning that there’s no known cause. However, There is a genetic link for a small minority of people with Parkinson’s.
