Parkinson’s Symptoms
Basically Parkinson’s symptoms can be categorized as:
Motor Symptoms
Motor symptoms affect your movement and are symptoms that your doctor can see.
Primary Motor Symptoms
- Slowed movement (Bradykinesia)
- Tremor
- Gait Problem
- Rigidity or stiffness
- Postural instability
Secondary Motor Symptoms
- Micrographia (Abnormally small or cramped handwriting)
- Facial masking
- Unwanted accelerations (movements which are too quick)
- Speech difficulty or changes in speech, including slurred speech or softness of voice
- Drooling
Non Motor Symptoms
Symptoms which not related to motor ability.
- Cognitive changes
- Mood disorders
- Orthostatic hypotension (a drop in blood pressure when standing, light-headedness)
- Sleep disorders
- Constipation
- Vision problems
- Sexual problems
